The Hapstone Convex Attachment allows the user to create complex convex edges.
A convex edge is slightly rounded (hence the name convex) as it tapers off to the finest point of the cutting edge along the blade.
A convex edge is considered superior compared to other edge grind types due to longer lasting durability and less drag when cutting.
A convex Edge allows more metal to support the cutting edge, this gives it weight and reinforcement, making it stronger and meatier than others. The heft makes it a lot less likely to chip or roll with intense use.
Generally found on some folding knives and bush craft knives.
