The KME Concave Hone is the perfect solution for sharpening recurve blades, Karambits, Kukris, and any other knife or broadhead with a concave blade design. It is specifically designed for Simmons broadheads when used with the KME knife sharpening system.

This hone, manufactured in the USA by Hewlett MFG for KME Sharpeners, features three oval-shaped sharpening surfaces. These surfaces are ideal for tackling even the most challenging concave blade designs, ensuring precise and effective sharpening.

The hone includes three different grits on one tool: Coarse (270), Medium (600), and Fine (1800). With this range of grits, you can achieve the desired level of sharpness and refinement for your blades.

Measuring 12.7 cm long with three 1.27 cm wide sides, the KME Concave Hone provides ample surface area for sharpening. It comes with a KME 28 cm x 0.4 cm diameter guide rod that attaches securely to the hone using a tight tolerance friction fit. The guide rod can be inserted up to 7 cm into the hone and can be installed in either end, allowing you to utilize the entire diamond surface.

When using rounded diamond hones like this one, it is important to exercise caution to avoid rounding over the tips of your knives. The narrow contact area of a rounded rod makes it easy to accidentally slip past the tip and deform or round it. While you can be aggressive throughout the length of the blade, extra care should be taken when sharpening the tip section.
